Short-changed?

I’ve been doing quite a bit of genealogical research lately, trying to find out more about my family — how far we go back in the U.S. and where we come from (note to grammar police here: I know).

I’ve been able to trace one side of my family back to France and Quebec in the 15 and 1600s. I’m still digging for more information, but so far (among others, of course) I’ve located Gagnes and Laviolettes. Finding these two names left me with only one question: Is there a genetic component to ice skating? If so, it skipped me.

Happy winter.

About deb

Wandering and wondering - taking it all in -- and increasingly shaking my head. Who are we and how did we get to this here? And, what, where and how next? Putting what I see and think out there in pictures and always looking for other ways, hence, this blog. This blog, like me, is a work in process and still doesn't quite know what it wants to be when it grows up.
