I found myself over the last couple of weeks being drawn to Trader Joe’s to pick up a dark chocolate bar filled with speculoos cream. Heaven in a $.99 package. Just the right sweetness, with just the tiniest hint of salt — a combination that always gets to me — smothered in TJ’s dark chocolate. As the trips became more frequent and it was harder and harder to buy just one bar, I gave in and went for the big score: I bought a jar of the Speculoos Cookie Butter. Nirvana on a spoon and on a chocolate bar. Now, I want to know what else? What to do next with this gooey sweet treat? I found the answer — more than one, actually — at Small Kitchen College. The only problem for me now is that one jar will no longer be enough. And, I’ll probably need to relocate. Further from Joe’s. So I’ll get extra exercise in between jars of the ooey goodness. A mile might do it. Maybe two. Or, maybe I should just call for an intervention instead.
